Old Control Is Doing The
Same As It Should Be And The New
Page Is Beating It By 166%!!!"

Hi Dan,
I've spent 50
plus hours writing new copy for the new site. I KNEW it would beat
my control the question was how much.
The new headline
is very solid, I tweaked it a bit.
I totally rearranged
the testimonials and shut down my "success stories" page
and put all of these great comments on the main page instead (how
dumb of me, thinking back).

I basically took
off all BS links "click here for my background" (good riddance!)
and only have order and contact links at the bottom. I dumped even MORE
chunks of copy, started the letter off with the story. Added MORE story
to it and about myself later on.
I went with the same
font to test only one version against another without "appearance"
differences. So I kept my picture to the left of your headline as well.
The Google snapshot
idea is phenomenal. The "why you should believe what I say",
the rearranging and ADDING KILLER NEW testimonials and adding them to
the proper spots so they make sense is crucial. And the deletion of
so much crap and fluff.
I also wrote a "special
notice" right above the first testimonial displayed. I've never seen
something like this used before, but I really like it. Check it out.
I knew if I wanted this
breakthrough, I'd have to write a shitload of new copy and I did just
that. Other than the "newbie stuff" (I know the little things
add up to bigger results overall, I've been testing them for 2 years!)
your key copy "section by section" suggestions were brilliant.
I'm getting to the good
part Dan, don't rush down, read all of this please.
Here's my concern: I've
got enough competition and this one site does pretty well. I don't want
to be on anyone's radar screen. I've done my best to remain low profile.
Here's my proposal and
then I'll reveal the test results so far.
I would like to be a
"Mr. X" client of yours that had his conversion rates spiked
so high, that he doesn't want anyone looking at his stuff.
You can call me "Jimbo".
You can also offer my private voice mail so if someone wants to talk to
me before ordering your products or services, I would do so. What do you
think, would this work for you?
I wanted to give you
the great news without having to drive more savvy marketers
to my niche. I hope you can understand my dilemma.
Here are the key
gems I think are responsible: Starting my copy with that story sucks
them in and it is obviously in a better position and working well. Pain,
create the pain, then prove you're THE man or woman, list the best testimonials
right after, get them excited with some copy and BOOM, make the offer,
follow it with bullets, apples to oranges, killer offer with discount
and reasons why, guarantee, order safety and security, and PS's. And of
course, killer copy throughout.

After 6 days, 9000 unique
visitors approx 4500 to each page. My old control is doing the same as
it should be and the new page is beating it by... drum roll please...
166%!!! A rather large pay raise. :)

"I met Dan
online in 2004. In our first meeting it was obvious that we had
a lot in common and shared similar business interests. We were both
in the marketing industry, we both offered business services and
we both wrote copy.
The part about
writing copy is where the similarity ended. The difference between

It's been a long
time since I've spoken to you. I just wanted to update you on how
well I've been doing since you coached me.
When I met you,
there was a piece of the puzzle missing and you helped me
tremendously with that.
You taught me
the importance of placing "value" on my time, knowledge
and energy. I was struggling with charging a good bit of money for
my services.
Before I was coached
by you, I felt that putting a cheap price on my products
would make people buy more, despite the high quality they were getting.

Well, I now know
better. I now have a general transcription online course for $357
and I just ran an ad and have one customer already. I only spent $43 for
the PPC ad. So that's a good profit.
You also introduced
me to the coaching business. I changed the way I felt about myself and
placed more value on what I have to offer, and I have began
coaching customers. One of my customers has a unique hardcover book that
has already sold thousands of dollars offline and wants me to market
it online. He saw my Web site for my ebook and was impressed and wants
me to mentor him. He even wants me to build his Web site. Oh I
didn't tell you, I can now build Web sites. I was determined to learn.
And the General Transcription
site is doing great. I also outsourced my Transcription work and
that's going great also (good income), another source of income. I can
now spend a little more and go on vacations. We went to Disney World
and we're going to the Caribbean in October!
I did as you taught
me, found out what people want instead of creating a product first and
then trying to pitch it to the market.
I didn't realize how
finding out what people want first and then giving them what they want
is so critical in successful marketing.
My motto is, "Help
people get what they want and you will in turn get what you want."
Helping people gives me tremendous satisfaction.
I am working on a new
product. This one should be a winner. It's good to finally understand
the marketing game, although there are still lots of daily learning. Everything
just makes sense.
Three sources of
income is not bad at all. Hopefully I will have 6 sources of income

five years ago, Freelance Work Exchange is one of the busiest
freelance marketplaces on the Internet today.
While our major
competitors launched with tens of millions of venture capital,
I started the business as a part-time hobby venture. Soon Freelance
Work Exchange took off, and become a serious business with full-time

about running an online business, while most Internet marketing gurus
simply peddle the same clichéd information. I tried working with
various consultants, usually with disappointing results.
And then I happened
across Dan Lok.

rate. In fact, we have doubled the conversion rate for much of our
traffic - and we haven't finished yet!
Dan's input has been
critical to helping us achieve that goal, and I have no doubt that he
will help us achieve much more in the future.
I have been involved
in Internet marketing since 1995, and I thought I knew about as much
